West Valley, Phoenix area manufacturer is expanding, looking for hard-working, self-motivated individuals to fill full-time positions ASAP. Wages: depending on experience, competitive pay. TIG Welder

TIG Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled TIG welder who will primarily work with stick, TIG, and some MIG welding on various ornamental metal, railing, stainless steel, and guardrails. The ideal candidate must set up their own machine for each welding process and be able to pass a 3g and 4g weld test. Proficiency in reading prints and fabrication drawings is essential. Additionally, candidates should be adept at using power tools, including grinders, drills, chop saws, and skill saws, and possess fabrication skills. Responsibilities • Perform TIG, stick, and MIG welding on ornamental metal, railing, stainless steel, and guardrails. • Set up welding machines for each specific process. • Pass a 3g and 4g weld test. • Read and interpret prints and fabrication drawings. • Use power tools such as grinders, drills, chop saws, and skill saws. • Fabricate and prepare materials for welding. Essential Skills • Proficiency in TIG welding with at least 2+ years of experience. • Experience in fabrication with at least 2+ years. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings. • Capability to perform 1g - 6g welds on plates, tubes, and pipes. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in architectural and ornamental metalwork. • Knowledge of fabricating bronze, glass stair rails, guardrails, and handrails. • Competency in column enclosures, escalator and power-walkway cladding, and elevator interiors. • Skills in interior wall panels, beam and soffit cladding. • Ability to use tape measures, pneumatic tools, power tools, hand tools, sanders, grinders, and saws. • Valid driver's license and access to a car. • Capability to lift 50+ pounds.
