Analyze client requirements and determine the scope of work. • In advance of a service trip, arrange to take parts, tools, proper size welding rod or wire, technical publications and other material required to complete the job. • At the job site, organize the job sequence, and arrange with the dispatcher for all sublet or component rework required. Direct and coordinate the work of assigned helpers to minimize waiting, idle time, and inefficiencies. Monitor and control job progress. • Repair, recondition, weld, fabricate, and maintain equipment and components. • Prepare equipment for delivery. Remove and install components and parts. Disassemble and reassemble components. • Determine parts reusability in accordance with published reusability guidelines. Order replacements and arrange for repairs. • Service and maintain equipment (preventive maintenance), adjust (tune up), and test mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, and components. • Operate welding equipment. Perform arc welding, air arc, gas welding and cutting in vertical up, flat and overhead positions using correct temperatures and procedures for the type of material being welded. • Works safely at all times. Adheres to all applicable safety policies. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
