Pay Range: $20.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience Laron is looking for a Welder to join our team in Kingman, AZ! As a Welder you will be responsible for welding metal parts for rotating equipment (i.e. pumps, motors) using gas, brazing, and arc welding processes. What You'll Do: • Weld metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes. • Perform thermal cutting and grinding. • Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes and increase the size of metal parts. • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. • Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions. • Monitor the fitting, burning and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material. • Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors. • Lay out, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straight edges, combination squares, calipers and rulers. • Other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: • HS Diploma or GED required; Diploma or Certificate in welding preferred. • 3+ years of experience in welding OR equivalent combination of education and experience. • Ability to weld 6010 and 7018 in both Tig & Root processes required. • Ability to work in and be exposed to unusual environments such as: extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio-hazardous materials, dirt, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises. • Ability to perform physical activity such as lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
