RDI is urgently seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to join our team and work on customer jobs as well as company projects throughout the state of Arizona. Some of the work will take place at our own welding shop in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Work done on certain federal contract job sites will require full background checks. This work will also include extended work hours including evening and night shifts. All work on federal contract sites will use Davis Bacon prevailing wage determinations. Responsibilities: - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes to determine project specifications - Weld and fabricate metal components based on project requirements - Use various welding techniques such as stick welding and plasma cutting to join metal parts - Assemble and fit metal components using hand tools and welding equipment - Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications - Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Requirements: - Proven experience as a fabricator/welder or similar role - Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding codes - Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including stick welding and plasma cutting - Familiarity with assembling and rigging metal components - Ability to use hand tools and welding equipment effectively - Attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks on finished products - Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
