Work Shift: Second Shift (United States of America) Job Description: Welds and assembles metal pieces and products by using handheld welding equipment. Sets up parts for welding; uses hand tools, clamps, jigs and fixtures. Works from specifications, drawings and weld symbols. Prepares and completes work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding and cleaning metal. RESPONSIBILITIES: Produce weldments to the specified documentation on both prints and job paperwork. Notify Production Supervisor when welding supplies are needed. Maintain a clean work area. Fit all assemblies and subassemblies prior to paint to ensure accuracy and quality control. Safe operation of overhead cranes and all other shop equipment (electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic).
