About the Role Fabricate metal details, pieces or products using a variety of hand tools and welding equipment according to required specifications in a manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately fabricate weldments and assemblies. • MIG/TIG aluminum, stainless, and steel in a variety of thicknesses and positions. • Utilize handheld tools such as grinders and weld stud guns. • Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other inspection hand tools • Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods • Continually evaluate weld machine performance and technology to improve cycle times • Create specific welding set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified • Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures • Prioritize work flow through effective communication with management staff • Maintain a clean and safe work area Qualification Requirements • 3-5 Years Experience as a metal fabricator • High School Diploma or GED • Basic reading skills, must be able to follow directions • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills preferred • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills • Work in a team environment and respect all teammates Physical Demands • Regularly lift 30-50 pounds • Regularly perform repetitive tasks • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately • Ability to operate a fork-lift and an overhead crane Benefits • Medical, Vision, and Dental • Company Sponsored Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability • Voluntary Short Term and Life Insurance Policies offered • 401k with company match up to 4% • Company sponsored Employee Assistance Program • PTO Drug-Free Workplace We provide and require a drug-free workplace.
