Apply now to be considered for this outstanding direct hire opportunity! salary: $38,916 - $44,574 per year shift: First work hours: 5 AM - 3:30 PM education: High School Responsibilities WELDER "LEVEL I" RESPONSIBILITIES: • Must be able to read and understand various measuring tools such as taper measure, calipers, or micrometers. • Must use all safety PPE required for welding and without supervision. • Must show that ability to accurately weld on an assortment of materials as prescribed by the work schedule, including but not limited to STAINLESS STEEL, GALVANIZED, HOT ROLL STEEL, COLD ROLL STEEL, ETC. • Must be able to read an understand blueprints/work orders, to ensure proper components are being used in the product • Must be able to acquire a general understanding of quality expectations and standards • Must keep work area clean and orderly • Must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift WELDER "LEVEL II" RESPONSIBILITIES: • Cannot have 4 or more points on attendance record • Must have a positive attitude everyday as defined by leadership and peers • Must meet all qualifications of a WELDER (LEVEL I) • Must be ale to work independently without the direction of others while producing quality work without defect • Must have a full understanding of the manufacturing process in regard to the following: • How products travel through the plant • Why they travel in the order that they do • How the welder position affects the process down stream • Must be able to train ENTRY LEVEL WELDERS (LEVEL I) as needed The essential functions of this role include: • working in a smoke free environment • wearing steel toe shoes • working in a non-temperature controlled environment • manual lifting up to 50lbs • standing for 8 hours at one time • working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week • working weekends Skills • Mig Welding • Various Measuring Tools • Tape, Calipers, Micrometers • Weld on materials assortment • Read Blueprints/Work Orders • Quality Assurance • Lift up to 50 lbs • Work Independently • Positive Attitude Daily • Understand company process • Train Level I as Needed Qualifications • Years of experience: 3 years • Experience level: Experienced Randstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies. Job Summary The Product Welder will be responsible for assembling materials together. Key Job Responsibilities • Review shop sheets. • Identify, cut and assemble the materials. • MIG weld assemblies together as required. • Utilize torch or plasma cutter to cut materials per instructions. • Follow the set flow and process established within their department and perform the work with zero defects. • Encouraged to make suggestions to the shop lead of any tools that save assembly time. • Wear assigned PPE for each job function. • Perform hazard assessments and maintain a high standard of safe work practices and quality control. • Follow company and OSHA safety rules and guidelines. Avoid injuries and damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean-up of work area debris. • Completes all necessary company training in a timely manner. • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements: • Experience in welding, steel fabrication and electrical. • Able to do MIG welding. Certification, preferred. • Ability to use a torch and plasma cutter. • Ability to verify dimensions using measuring instruments such as calipers and tape measures. • Proficiency in adding and subtracting fractions. • Experience in Mechanical, Commercial, and Industrial Maintenance. • Experience with Hydraulics and Pneumatics is preferred but not required. • Experience with Warehouse and Commercial doors, is a plus. • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, technology driven, service environment. • Follows all safety procedures in performing work, as well as company policies. • Able to work without supervision. Occasionally, will work in a team environment. • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs and across remote offices. • Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills. • Technical school training and OEM certification, is a plus. • Ability to work overtime. • High School Diploma or GED is required. • The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check. Welder - 2nd shift - Monday to Thursday (10 hour shift per day) Company Overview PakFab Engineered Solutions is a North American company with a world class team of packaging experts. Position Summary The Production Welder position responsibilities include, but is not limited to production welding, service & repair welding, and fabricating metal structures using jigs/fixtures in a fast-paced production environment.
