Job Summary The Mechanical Technician / Welder position with Paris Industrial Services, Inc. is an integral part of the production team. The goal of this position is to accurately assemble, test, and repair mechanical systems and components efficiently while maintaining compliance with quality standards. There may be light computer work such as inventory reporting and answering emails from in-house team members. The ideal candidate for this role will have welding experience and fundamental mechanical skills. TIG welding experience is a plus. If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to know more about you! Responsibilities • Skillfully operate various hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and testing equipment to assemble and test cylinders, valves and other mechanical components. • Meticulously assemble these components according to technical drawings and specifications. • Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and components. • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with standards. • Troubleshoot issues within mechanical assemblies. • Collaborate with internal teams to complete mechanical assemblies. • Accurately document and maintain work orders and other records accompanying each project. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Requirements • Manual dexterity, attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions for complex assembly projects. • Proven experience as a welder, mechanical technician or similar. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques. • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and safety gear. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Familiarity with safety standards in industrial settings.
