Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. The Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on various materials while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Duties • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components as per design requirements. • Conduct quality inspections of welds to ensure they meet ASME codes & standards. • Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials around the construction site. • Perform rigging tasks as necessary for lifting heavy components. • Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments for precise measurements. • Engage in the assembly of parts and components as required. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Skills • Proven experience in welding with knowledge of various techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding. • Familiarity with construction site environments and safety practices. • Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics for accurate fabrication. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters. • Experience with ductwork installation and pipe threading is a plus. • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. • Experience in machining or soldering is beneficial but not required.
