Duties • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components as per design requirements. • Conduct quality inspections of welds to ensure they meet ASME codes & standards. • Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials around the construction site. • Perform rigging tasks as necessary for lifting heavy components. • Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments for precise measurements. • Engage in the assembly of parts and components as required. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Skills • Proven experience in welding with knowledge of various techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding. • Familiarity with construction site environments and safety practices. • Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics for accurate fabrication. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters. • Experience with ductwork installation and pipe threading is a plus. • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. • Experience in machining or soldering is beneficial but not required.
