Robotic Weld Cell Operator (1st & 2nd Shift)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES • Operating robotic ARC & resistance welding cells and bolt insertion presses • Loading sub-components into equipment, starting cycle, inspecting finished goods • Observe the visual quality of parts • Ensuring work stations are stocked with material. • Maintain raw material in storage areas. • Maintain 5S JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Leadership skills • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. • Skilled with both hand and power tools • Ability to work with minimum supervision • The ability to use and understand various types of gauging equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and general dimensional check fixtures. • The ability to take learned information and apply it • The ability to communicate quality expectations and requirements in a manner that promotes positive improvements. • A knowledge of the process and equipment is desired. • Maintain satisfactory work area following 5S standards. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • The ability to lift 35 lbs. to the height of approximately five (5) feet. (requires both hands) • The ability to squat for picking up 35 lb. totes or boxes, and lifting them to a height of five (5) feet. • The ability to twist in 90° positions for moving totes or boxes. • Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility. WORK ENVIRONMENT • Work performed in a non-air conditioned plant environment. • Exposed to plant manufacturing environment as job duties require. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • High School education or equivalent • Welding experience is preferred but not required Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
