Lead Welder

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques and a passion for quality craftsmanship. As a Lead Welder, you will oversee welding operations, ensuring that all projects meet safety standards and specifications while mentoring junior welders. Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate welding activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. • Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precise measurements and fit-up of materials. • Perform various welding processes including MIG welding on tube/square steel. • Conduct plasma cutting operations to prepare materials for assembly. • Assemble components according to engineering drawings and specifications. • Train and mentor junior welders in proper techniques, safety practices, and equipment usage. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications • Proven experience as a welder with a strong understanding of welding techniques and processes. • Proficiency in using hand tools calipers, and other measuring instruments. • Familiarity with tube welding, is preferred. • Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
