Design To Print is looking for a Swing Shift Metal Fabrication Shop Assistant to assist our welders and fabricators. As part of a dynamic team, you will work with designers, welders and printers to create industry standard signs, light boxes, display structures and other exciting projects. Responsibilities: • Handle materials – within the shop and outdoors as required. • Operate basic hand tools and powered hand tools. • Assemble/fabricate metal frames and other projects. • Operate fiber laser cutter and tube laser (will train) • Operate shop machinery: Press brake, tube roller, plate roller, lathe, drill press, CNC saw. (training available) • Perform housekeeping duties. • Moves, secures, installs, builds, stocks, loads and unloads materials. • Perform general tasks as assigned Requirements: • Knowledge and respect of shop safety. • Able to accurately measure and read measurements • Able to operate basic power tools • Able to read labels, safety warnings and guidelines • Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • CNC experience helpful, but not necessary • Forklift experience • High school diploma or equivalent • Previous welding and fabrication experience helpful, but not necessary Full-Time. Swing Shift 1:00 -10:00 pm, M-F - occasional weekends as needed. Starting wage $16.00-18.00/hour plus .50/hour swing shift differential. Salary based on experience plus benefits and profit sharing program.
