Welder - 2nd and 3rd Shift

BendTec, LLC has an exciting opportunity available for a Welder to be an integral part of our Fabrication team. WHAT YOU’LL DO: • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts. • Remove rough spots from work pieces using portable grinders, hand files or scrapers. • Feather or remove tacks using electric or pneumatic grinders prior to welding beading pass. • Chip or grind off excess weld, slag or spatter using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders or arc-cutting equipment. • Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions. • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, submerged arc welding and shielded metal arc. • All welding on non-critical piping assemblies, structural and architectural assemblies, and any other non-high pressured piping assemblies. • Non-production welding such as the attachment of holding legs and hydro test caps. • Cleanup work area often and after every shift. • Produce quality product as required by customer specifications and regulation requirements. • Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies and regulations. TIG Welder Specialist II - Weekends

Job Summary The Aerospace Welder is responsible for the production of quality aircraft component weldments. They must be capable of fitting and welding complex assemblies consisting of 4130 machined components, tubing and fittings and must be able to do so holding tight tolerances. Attention to detail required. Specialists will be expected to read and interpret engineering documents (drawings, schematics, and specifications for examples) to accomplish these activities. Familiarity with common fabrication methods in metals is expected and they will be required to use hand tools and to operate common powered, shop tools. Problem-solving and communication skills are highly valued as are communication skills and team members will need to work effectively in groups and with other departments across the organization. $2K Sign-on eligible until further notice. Shift: This is a weekend shift position - Fri-Sun; 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM; 12 shift differential; Overtime as required Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions • Ability to weld 4130 materials using TIG process • Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques • Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process • Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness • Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment • May prepare the materials and set up on a welding fixture or for a coworker • Will be required to complete on-the-job training Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. In this position, you will fabricate, assemble, and repair equipment and components used in the precast concrete industry.
