Pipe Welder - Primoris Energy Services Pipe Welders wanted for our project at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina!! Join Primoris Energy Services for another high-impact project! We're looking for skilled Combo Welders to lay out, fit, and weld structural piping and components to spec. Must pass cert tests (ASME B31.1/BPVC Sec IX), and be ready for GTAW/SMAW/PAUT/X-Ray on all joints. Bring your talent and toughnesslet's build something great. Lay out, fit and weld fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms, such as tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, pipe and building and bridge parts using gas and/or electric welding equipment as specified by layout. General Requirements: • Code ASME B31.1 and ASME BPVC Section IX. Cert Test required prior to employment. • PAUT, X-Ray, on all joints. • Read drawings, understand dimensions, layout pipe, fit pipe, weld pipe and clean. • Signal with HEOs, work with helpers, follow superintendent's instruction. • Capable of other welding processes (GTAW) and installing other pipe material (Ductile and HDPE). • Read and interpret drawings to understand the requirements of the job. • Be willing to help with non-welding tasks with shovels, cleanup, etc. • Opportunity for additional work following project. Functional Requirements: • Proven experience as a Combo Welder. • Proficient in various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and Stick. • Strong knowledge of industrial welding safety guidelines and procedures. • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work. • Must be available for a project duration of approximately 3 weeks. Qualifications: • Pass welding tests (e.g. AWS, ASME, API) at certified facility. • Successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and physical. • Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways. • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.). • Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items. • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with welding (e.g. lifting, bending, standing for long periods).
