Structural Welders Needed! (Hourly + Per Diem) Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Structural Welder to join our team for the construction of a brand-new manufacturing facility. This role involves welding and fabricating carbon steel handrails and floor plating, along with a variety of other essential tasks to support the buildout. Candidates must be versatile, reliable, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Location The shop is located in Summerville, however welders are needed for our project in Augusta, GA to ramp up the structural side. Responsibilities • Perform stick welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. • Fabricate and install carbon steel handrails and floor plating. • Cut and fit toe plates with precision. • Assist with layout and fitting of structural components. • Participate in firewatching, painting, and site cleanup. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times. • Collaborate with other trades and supervisors to meet project timelines. Essential Skills • Proven experience in structural welding, especially with carbon steel. • Must pass a weld test in flat, vertical, and overhead stick welding. • Own a full set of tools and welding gear. • Strong understanding of job site safety and OSHA standards. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. • Willingness to perform non-welding tasks as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Reliable transportation and punctuality. • Proficiency in blueprint and fabrication skills. • Experience with flux core welding. • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
