Perlick Values: Lead By Serving – others before self, Grow by Innovation – solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations, Continuous Improvement – strive to get better every day, Live the Legacy – maintain our positive reputations with the future in mind PRINCIPAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. • Perform repetitive machine and assembly operations to produce standardized sheet metal products in accordance with dimensional specifications and quality standards requiring a fundamental knowledge of sheet metal fabricating operations and shop practices usually acquired by on-the-job training and experience. • Make scratch and center-punch layouts from templates and patterns. • Make semi-complex setups and operate shears, press brakes, punch press, spot welders, etc. to form and shape parts. • Assemble and fit parts and details using hand tools, jigs, spot welder, soldering equipment and riveters, check work for dimensions and configuration. • Work from job layouts, patterns, templates, bills of materials and production orders. • Use scale, square, dividers, straight edge and fixed gauges to setup, operate machines and check work. • Under supervision, instructions and guidance provided on the more complex setups, machine and assembly operations. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to be successful in this role. • High school diploma preferred, but not required. • 1+ year of diverse sheet metal experience • Familiarity with machines, materials, setups, sequences and procedures relating to sheet metal PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for fabricating, forming and deburring sheet metal. Set-up and operating complex fabricating machines and equipment will be required. Additionally, you will maintain tolerances as specified on blue prints and follow routing sequences while adhering to safety and quality standards. This is a 1st shift opportunity from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.* • 1st shift hours will be changing on 7/7/2025 to 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. You Will: • Operate brake presses to bend, cut and manipulate materials into specified shapes* • Study and interpret blueprints or plans and take careful measurements of materials • Have basic understanding of required equipment setups* • Be proficient within applicable computer programs and scanning operations • Be proficient in all Standard Operating Procedures for department/cell • Obtain proficient understanding of department specific tools and measuring equipment • Have knowledge of product packaging procedures and labeling • Meet productivity expectations* • Work from Bill of Materials / Print Shop Paper* • Complete Industrial Lift Certification (as needed) • Have exposure to continuous improvement • Help resolve production issues* • Understand and engage in department metrics* • Be proficient in scrap out procedures • Essential duties and responsibilities You Have: • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience • At least 1 year of sheet metal experience Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and stand for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works from simple sketches and routings. Makes simple setups on manual rolls, expanders, and planishers. Operates equipment such as sandblasters, rolls, and hand grinders. Performs deburring operations the majority of the time. Checks work for acceptance, using basic measuring equipment such as tape measures, verniers, and Pi tapes. Proceeds under direct supervision. In coordination with Maintenance Department, performs preventive maintenance on sheet metal equipment. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and conformity with Ace Precision Quality System work instruction requirements that govern sheet metal operations. Maintains or exceeds production standards through efficient organization and planning. Follows and complies with safety policies and procedures. Accurately completes all required documentation. Meets attendance policy requirements. Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.
