Essential Functions The Sheet Metal Roofer uses tools and equipment to fabricate building components and assemble those components into a finished system at the project site, in accordance with company policies and procedures. These duties include but are not limited to: • Bending and shearing equipment to brake. • Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. • Selecting appropriate materials and tools for each project. • Assembling fabricated components to create final products. • Measure, fabricate, and install sheet metal materials. • Work with materials such as light gauge steel, aluminum and copper • Quality installation of roof-related coping, gutters, and flashings • Quality installation of metal wall panels and standing seam metal roofing. • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of finished product. • Installation of sheet metal components into building. Qualifications A Sheet Metal Roofer must work as a team and be able to perform all the duties listed above. As well as having 2-4 yrs. of sheet metal roofing experience, be reliable, self-motivated, and willing to follow directions. As well as being able to lift 50 lbs., work at various heights and on ladders, hold a valid driver's license, have a reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
