Your Day-to-Day: • Testing construction materials: Perform tests and oversee special inspections of materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and others to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards. • Analyzing construction plans and specifications: Verify that they align with project goals before conducting field observations. • Recording and managing field activities: Document detailed observations and test results during project execution, using Metafield® or other management systems daily for efficient data handling and coordination. • Preparing reports and proposals: Help draft reports and proposals for smaller projects, ensuring thorough and accurate assessments and documentation. • Communicating daily: Interact with management, contractors, and clients to maintain project transparency and provide regular updates on progress. Experience shifting work hours based on project needs and weather conditions, including early mornings, some Saturdays, and overtime (paid at time and a half). Travel expenses (per-diem/lodging) are covered when assisting other offices.
