GEI is seeking highly motivated individuals to perform a broad range of engineering technician duties on long term, full-time, projects in Sault Ste Marie. Essential Responsibilities & Duties • Candidates will work with engineers, contractors and project personnel while performing construction observation and documentation, materials testing services, and data collection for large scale infrastructure projects. Minimum Qualifications • High School Diploma required, AS degree in Engineering Technology, BS in Construction Management, or related field highly preferred. • Previous experience in construction inspection and testing capacity with experience in soils, concrete, and bituminous paving. • Certifications from ACI and/or State of Michigan highly desired. • Previous Resident Engineering Experience is a plus • Excellent organizational skills and valid driver’s license are required. • Must be willing to travel for both short and long term assignments. • Preference will also be given toward candidates with experience using Auto Cad and surveying equipment.
