Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Bricklayer / Mason Tender to support masonry and construction projects on-site. Large projects including New Apartment Brick. This role involves assisting skilled masons with various tasks related to bricklaying and tuckpointing. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow. Pay is determined by experience, open to hire both apprentice and experienced mason. Responsibilities • Assist masons with preparing and mixing mortar, concrete, and other materials for bricklaying and masonry work • Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently • Maintain a clean and organized work site to ensure safety and efficiency • Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on-site Skills • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment • Familiarity with schematics and construction estimating is a plus • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites • Prior experience in masonry or related trades such as carpentry or roofing is advantageous • Willingness to learn new skills related to restoration, renovation, or specialized masonry techniques Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.80 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person

Essential Job Functions • Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other masonry materials to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures. • Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a slab or foundation. • Cut and shape materials to fit specific measurements using hand and power tools. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. • Ensure alignment, level, and plumb of masonry units using levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. • Repair and maintain existing masonry structures by replacing damaged sections or repointing mortar joints. • Clean surfaces and remove excess mortar or debris. • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). • Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to complete projects efficiently. • All other duties as assigned. Preferred Talents • Proven experience as a mason or bricklayer. • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. • Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions. • Attention to detail and craftsmanship. • Certification in masonry or construction safety (e.g., OSHA 10/30). • Experience with both structural and decorative masonry. Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED, preferred. • Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job training.
