As a mason, you will lay and bind building materials to construct or repair walls, partitions, fireplaces, and other structures. MASON FOREMAN $25-$35 An Hour (Based On Experience) Edward’s Stone is looking for a Full-Time Mason specializing in thin and/or full veneer stone and brick to join our Mason Crew. As a mason, you will lay and bind building materials, including block and brick, with mortar and other substances to construct or repair walls, partitions, fireplaces, and other structures. Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Calculating angles. • Breaking or cutting bricks, tiles, or blocks to size, using a trowel edge, hammer, or power saw. • Removing excess mortar with trowels and hand tools, and finishing mortar joints with jointing tools for a sealed, uniform appearance. • Fastening brick or other building materials to structure with wire clamps, anchor holes, or cement. • Cleaning working surfaces to remove scale, dust, soot, or chips of brick and mortar, using broom, wire brush, or scraper. • Examining brickwork or structure to determine the need for repair. • Mixing specified amounts of sand, clay, dirt, or mortar powder with water to form refractory mixtures. • Removing and repairing damaged brick or mortar, using sledgehammer, crowbar, chipping gun, or chisel. Experience: Construction: 1-5 year(s) (Preferred) Masonry: 2+ years (Preferred) Work Location: Lincoln, NE or Omaha, NE Pay Frequency: Weekly Valid Driver's License: Required E-Verify employment eligibility verification performed along with an OSHA compliant physical. Job Summary: This position is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor on commercial construction projects.
