Construction Site Superintendent

• Currently looking for a Construction Site Superintendent with the primary emphasis will be MEP, tie-in's, checkout of installation, building finishes, paving etc. • 4-5 Month Contract Position • Has proven skills in industrial construction experience (means / methods). • Monitor and engage suppliers in terms of site safety, quality, and work productivity through active management of sub-suppliers • Measures daily work progress relative to current Lookahead plan (provide data to site mgmt.) • Assist in development of field generated RFI's in coordination with project mgmt. or site mgmt. • Promotes a "zero injury " safety culture by conducting daily safety talks and monitoring sub-contractor compliance with safety requirements at site • Participates in Job Site Analysis' (JSA) process with colleagues to assure they are appropriate for the work/task to be performed, continuously evaluate work site for potential hazards or unsafe conditions and ensure that all personnel use Personal Protective Equipment "PPE " appropriate to the site or tasks and adhere to incident reporting procedures • Contributes to daily reporting and observations in collaboration with site management • Documents thru observations (near misses, injuries, STOP WORK events, accidents) • Sub-supplier safety violations/notifications • Daily reports & photos • Drawings, redlines, specifications, RFI's, Submittals, CO's, etc. • Aids in preparation of Lookahead planning • Incidents, Inspections & Punchlist • Actively participates in weekly subcontractor meetings

Civil Engineer Project Manager Job Description The Civil Engineer Project Manager will lead and support development and management for a wide variety of projects, mainly focusing on heavy civil engineering but also industrial facility design and construction. • Independently evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to development projects. • Develop and manage project schedules, pay estimates, project procedures, staffing requirements, and equipment resources needed to complete accurate and timely project production. • Develop site designs that include calculations, research, layout with proper material selection, and permitting. • Oversee creation of surface models utilizing Civil3D and/or other similar design software, including earthwork, hydrology and hydraulics, utilities, and roadway design. • Support interdisciplinary design coordination to ensure project elements are accounted for. • Create preliminary design concepts and alternatives to support cost estimating. • Attend project meetings and provide coordination to resolve design issues. • Lead designers in the use of data-driven design to make intelligent decisions on design solutions and processes. • Provide mentorship to staff (EITs and technicians) to help them understand industry standards. • Utilize knowledge of departmental design standards and applicable engineering codes to review drawings and documents for conformance. • Work closely with the construction field in a collaborative manner to ensure project success. • Negotiate change orders. • Act as a liaison with clients and subcontractors to facilitate construction activities. • Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule. • Obtain proper permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites. • Ensure project completion in compliance with documents and quality standards. • Review and finalize project costs and adjustments upon completion. • Ensure quality control of services and deliverables.
