Role Description: The I&E Construction Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of on-site I&E scope and service activities for the FGRU project at a refinery. This role ensures that all fieldwork is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with refinery safety standards and operational protocols. The Coordinator plays a critical role in working with the priorities of the Construction Manager in scheduling and executing scope, tracking project progress, and resolving technical issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in refinery operations, knowledge of project I&E processes, safety regulations, and vendor management. Expertise in critical path scheduling, interpreting drawings, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: • Field Coordination: • Act as the primary on-site representative, managing/monitoring I&E field execution and ensuring seamless communication between I&E contractor, general contractor, and the owner organization. • Monitor, assist, and audit contractor execution to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, work practices, and project specifications. • Maintain effective communication between internal departments (e.g., Project Engineers, Operations representatives) and external contractors and subcontractors. • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): • Collaborate with HSE representatives to ensure compliance with site health, safety, and environmental policies. • Proactively address safety issues, supporting project safety performance goals and helping contractors achieve optimal safety outcomes. • Provide HSE leadership to contractor personnel and assist in evaluating safety incidents by providing firsthand information. • Technical Assurance: • Participate in design reviews, with an emphasis on maintainability and constructability. • Champion the implementation of quality management practices. • Provide updates on construction system turnover status during project start-up meetings. • Stakeholder Engagement: • Act as the focal point for I&E field communications with construction contractors. • Maintain regular communication with construction manager to ensure awareness of work progress and resolve potential impacts.
