Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work, with the ability to perform tasks related to the finishing and installation of concrete surfaces. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes on various concrete projects, including commercial and residential applications. Responsibilities • Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by cleaning and leveling the area. • Operate and maintain concrete mixers and other hand tools effectively. • Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, caulking equipment, and other finishing techniques. • Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals to ensure proper installation of forms and reinforcements. • Inspect finished work for quality assurance and compliance with project specifications. • Assist in the renovation of existing structures by removing old concrete and preparing for new installations. • Follow safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a safe working environment. • Perform basic welding tasks as needed for specific projects. Experience • Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in the construction industry. • Familiarity with mechanical tools and equipment used in concrete work. • Previous experience working on construction sites is preferred. • Knowledge of commercial driving practices is a plus but not required. • Ability to read blueprints and project plans is advantageous. • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as needed. Will be responsible for preventative maintenance and pre-shift walk around of the assigned equipment to assure safe operation.
