Job Summary The Class 4A, Machine Operator has working knowledge of equipment attributes and can do minor troubleshooting, can make routine adjustments or change-overs and is responsible for maintaining adequate spare parts utilizing the Parts Requisition Form. Other duties as needed for efficient plant operations and/or as directed by a Supervisor and be available to work flexible shifts. Job Functions • Perform routine troubleshooting and make necessary corrections. • Meet all the qualifications of a Class 4 Operator. • Perform moderate complex mathematical computations (e.g. percentages, ratios, etc.). • Enter required data onto RedZone tablets. • Capable of determining and making good decisions in a timely manner based on quality of the product to ensure product meets quality specifications. • Maintain the work area in compliance with the Company’s 5-S policies. • Participate on continuous improvement activities. Job Qualifications • 2 years of experience operating production equipment in a food/beverage manufacturing environment with increasing levels of responsibility. • Experience operating high-speed packing equipment is desired. • Experience troubleshooting issues and performing preventive maintenance required. • Possess good math skills. • Must possess a strong work character and have the ability to work in a team environment. • Must be self-motivated and self-directed to support complex operations. • Critical thinking and the ability to analyze data and situations is a must. This involves being detail oriented with strong emphasis on accuracy and organization • Must meet employment eligibility in the U.S. • Be at least 18 years of age. Job Qualifications Cont. • Must possess the ability to perform the following jobs within this classification: Label Machine Operator – Has primary responsibility to ensure labels are properly affixed, bottles are coded correctly and dud detector is functioning properly, retrieve labels from storage as necessary, accurately fill out daily label report in a timely manner, and take accurate label inventory when needed. Kayat Tray Pack Operator – The operator has as primary responsibility to operate the Kayat Tray Maker machines, maintaining bundles/trays in compliance with our quality specifications. This includes but is not limited to the following: date code format accuracy and placement on the tray, item description stickers, and proper glue application. Wrapapac Case/Tray Maker Operator – Has primary responsibility to operate the Wrapapac Case/Tray Maker machine, maintaining cases/trays in compliance with our quality specifications. This includes but is not limited to the following: date code format accuracy and placement on the tray item description stickers, taut film application, proper glue application, basic troubleshooting of mechanical issues and reporting issues to the supervisor in a timely manner. Variopak Operator – Has primary responsibility to package bottles into multi-packs of printed shrink film. The operator is also responsible for ensuring proper orientation of shrink-film, maintaining optimum temperatures in the adjacent shrink tunnel so that film is secure and taut. Wepakit Caser Operator – The Wepakit Caser Operator primary responsibility is to oversee the efficient performance of the machine. This includes the accurate amount of bottles going into the case, accurate date code both on the bottle and the case, troubleshooting the equipment and make basic mechanical adjustments, reporting issues to the supervisor on a timely manner. KHS Bundler/Tray Maker Operator – Has a primary responsibility to operate the KHS Bundler/Tray Maker machines, maintaining bundles/trays in compliance with our quality specifications. This includes but is not limited to the following: date code format accurate and placement on the tray, item description stickers, taut film application, and proper glue application, basic trouble-shooting of mechanical issues and reporting issues to the supervisor in a timely manner.
