Pacific Coast Producers Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Industrial Fabricator/Machinist to join our team at our Distribution Center in Lodi, CA. The Distribution Center is a 1.5m sq. ft. packaging, labeling and distribution facility with approximately 400 employees. The DC operation supports both retail and foodservice customers and labels, cases, and ships nationwide approximately fifty (50) million cases every year. Pay Rate: $39.04 per hour. Full time/ 40 hours per week with some weekend and overtime hours required when needed. This position is part of a seniority based Collective Bargaining Unit (CBA) and requires work on various shifts. Key responsibilities include: • Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventative maintenance. • Layout own work or other work from blueprints or drawings, using shop mathematics to calculate measurements and determine angles. • Select stock of appropriate size and thickness and mark the cutting and other reference lines needed for fabricating work. • Perform work with a lathe, milling machine, power, and hand tools. Use computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines and jigs. • Cut sheet metal and bar stock with hand snips or power shears. • Perform machine set up for DC and AC, TiG, MiG and stick welding for multiple types of metal. • Curve or shape metal into tubes with a forming machine and bend it to specified angles with a hand machine brake. • Use hand drill, drill press, or punch press to drill or punch holes. • Assemble the parts, join the seams, attach hangers, brackets and reinforcements by welding, soldering, bolting, or riveting. • Smooth rough joints and surfaces with a file, grinding wheel or buffer. • Install units by welding, bolting, screwing, or nailing into place. • Check materials and parts and makes requisitions. Preferred qualifications include: • Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance. • Significant (5+ years) relevant industrial experience. • Committed to safety and food safety, including use of appropriate PPE. • Proficient English communication skills. • Must possess and use personal hand tools.
