CNC Screw Machinist

CNC Screw Machinist US-CA-Santa Rosa Job ID: 2025-14326 Type: Employee # of Openings: 1 Category: Operations US-CA-Santa Rosa-1421 Overview Operates a variety of machine shop equipment for the production of parts used in the manufacturing of electrical connectors. Level of Machinist depends on variety of skill level to set up and operate various machinery to include CNC machines, manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and saws. Responsibilities • CNC Screw Machine experience in setup, operation and programming. Fanuc & Star CNC experience preferred. • Okuma LB3000 CNC lathe with sub spindle experience desired as well. • Operates a variety of machine tools and equipment, such as manual lathes, mills, drill presses, cut off saws and CNC turning and milling equipment. • Performs setup to operation to produce a variety of production parts and tools from metal, plastics and other materials. • Inspects all work using precision measuring tools to ensure all parts meet drawing specifications. • Makes adjustments and offsets to machines to control speed, material feed, and path of cut. • Makes sure machines are setup properly, working well and producing quality product. • Performs work under general to minimal supervision depending on skill level/experience. • Enters accurate daily labor information into data collection system. • Quality conscientious and responsible for all aspects of quality related to work produced. • Knowledge and general understanding of ISO 9001 quality policies. • Adheres to all safety directives/requirements within the area and facility (i.e. Personal Protective Equipment) and fully participates in all 6S activities and daily clean-up. • Other duties as directed by Management. Machine Operator Santa Rosa, CA Star Staffing is currently recruiting for a Machine Operator Associate. This position is responsible to Operate one or more pieces of machinery in each department. Perform operations efficiently and safely with minimal supervision. Monitor production to ensure quality standards are met. Pay $19.50 Shift: 6:00am to 2:30pm (Tuesday-Saturday) Our client is looking to start ASAP. Duties and Responsibilities: Start and stop machine at specified intervals. Operate machine(s) per specifications at standard efficiency. Perform set-up duties and make minor equipment adjustments as agreed upon with Maintenance. Immediately stops malfunctioning equipment and notify supervisor or mechanic that repairs or adjustments are necessary. Report to supervisor any situation where the operation deviates from acceptable quality, production, or safety standards. Monitor raw material usage and report excessive loss to the supervisor. Document daily production, as required. May train new operators. Maintain a clean and orderly work area and keep equipment always clean. Perform all duties safely and wear personal protective equipment, such as: gloves, apron, glasses, back support, etc. Observe all safety rules and immediately report all hazards to the department supervisor. Be punctual and at work daily. Follow all company rules and regulations, per the Employee Handbook or department policy. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: Ability to read and write in English highly desired. Manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred. Knowledge of company products and procedures. Customer focused with a strong attention to detail. Able to work overtime on short notice. Able to reach, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs.), twist, squat, push and pull.
