Overview Duties/Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned: • Able to handle products of a more complex nature such as already brazed parts requiring in-process machining or final machining. • Set up and operate CNC lathes and Turn Mills. • Use inspection tools to monitor dimensional accuracy. • Monitor tooling and replace when necessary. • Fits, aligns, and adjusts machines or assemblies to meet tolerances and product operating requirements. • Knowledge on operating manual Lathe and Manual Mill • Deburr and polish machined components. Job Skills: • Familiar with CNC lathes with Fanuc control, Mori Seiki, Nakamura, Mazak. B-axis turn mills and/or Lathes with live tooling • Must have strong knowledge of G and M codes • Must be knowledgeable with GD&T. • Strong attention to detail • Strong work ethic and work well with others. • Must be organized and accurate with documentation. Desired Education/Experience: • High school diploma, vocational training or equivalent qualification required. • Knowledge of machining processes and problem-solving skills to ensure strict quality and cosmetic standards • Requires production experience, basic reading, writing and shop math skills. • Minimum of 1-3 years related experience. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. The base salary range for this full-time position is 23.51-39.95 hourly. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. CNC Vertical Setup Machinist

A&D Precision, a growing contract manufacturer located in south Fremont, CA (Bay Area), is currently hiring for the position of Journeymen CNC Machinist. The ideal candidate will be proficient in programming, setting up, and operating Horizontal and/or Vertical CNC machines to produce both production and prototype parts in a fast-paced job shop environment. Experience with multi-pallet, automated machines is a significant plus. Programming expertise, particularly with Mastercam, is required. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: To perform this role successfully, the candidate must meet the following qualifications, which are representative of the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities required: Professional accountability and commitment to delivering high-quality work. · Minimum of five years of experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC mills, with experience on horizontal mills being required. · In-depth knowledge of materials, speeds and feeds, fixtures, tooling, and machining processes. · Strong blueprint reading skills, including the interpretation of drawings, revisions, GD&T, tolerances, and symbols. · Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications, procedures, and work instructions. · Clear communication skills with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve. · Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. · Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. · Experience contributing to new part development or process improvement activities. Job Duties and Responsibilities: · Review new projects and technical drawings to set up and program CNC machines to produce parts in the most efficient and cost-effective way. · Adjust machine cutting paths and settings to optimize production while maintaining high-quality standards. · Research and recommend tools necessary for cutting specific materials and program machines accordingly. · Assist in training team members on the proper operation of CNC machines and related programs. · Conduct test runs and operate machines as needed to ensure quality production. · Assist in quoting new projects as needed.
