This role will require the individual to work closely with teams within manufacturing to support tooling and production needs throughout all of Tesla’s Body-in-White production lines. What You'll Do • Machine tight tolerance components and assemblies using manual and or CNC machine tools to make or modify parts, weldments, and assemblies applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, layout, and good machining procedures • Operate typical machine shop equipment including but not limited to mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, grinders, sanders, and saws • Work with a wide range of materials from hardened tool steels to plastics (i.e., tool steels, pre-hardened steels, stainless steels, low carbon steels, aluminum, plastics, copper, and brass).
