Journeyman Machinist

This position is lcoated in Winnemucca, NV Position Overview: We seek a skilled and reliable Machinist to join our job shop team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machinery to produce precision parts according to customer specifications and engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A relocation package is available for those with the knowledge and experience to work immediately. ​​​​Key Responsibilities: • Set up and operated CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.). • Read and interpreted blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. • Measure and inspect parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications using various measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.). • Ensure the safe operation of machinery and adhere to safety protocols and regulations. • Maintain machines by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting. • Communicate with engineers and supervisors to understand project requirements. • Follow quality control standards and make adjustments as necessary to meet tolerances. • Maintain an organized and clean work area. • Work with minimal supervision and collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines. • Perform other related duties as assigned. • Small Shop environment with a variety of work and immense. We have very few repetitive processes. We are seeking an experienced Programmer Machinist to join our team and help lead this effort. About the role The CNC/Programmer Machinist is responsible for creating new programs, organizing tool libraries, creating set-up sheet templates, and communicating effectively to machinists via program notes, setup sheets, and/or verbal instructions. This is a unique opportunity to work with unconventional setups to push the boundaries of production and automation. Role description Under general direction, the Maintenance Machinist performs preventive, routine and emergency maintenance and repair of a variety of heavy and light equipment, related systems and components. Substitution: Completion of a CA Division of Apprenticeship Standards recognized Maintenance Machinist apprenticeship program evidenced by issuance of a Certificate of Completion of the apprenticeship program under the appropriate authority will substitute for the six (6) years combined work experience.
