Machine Operator

Bergin Screen Printing & Etching (BSPE), a leader in premium alternative bottle labeling for over 35 years for the wine and spirits industry, is seeking a Machine Operator to support our growing operation. We’re looking for a skilled, solution-oriented individual with experience in industrial machine operations, strong mechanical knowledge, and a proactive approach in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: • Learn to place tooling, screens & squeegees on print machines. Adjust to proper specification with height color and registration on the bottle. • Learn to mount and use color recuperator. • Learn to assemble and make screens for print machinery. • Continuously inspect bottles/ware for damage and conformity to specifications. • Repair screens as needed by taping or using emulsion to fix holes. • Requisition materials and supplies as required to keep ahead of needs. • Scrape or remove thermoplastic ink from bottles with solvents and bottle cleaning equipment, while following all safety measures in place. • Complete weekly training documentation to demonstrate growth and development. • Complete work orders. • Operate VLM to remove and add paints as needed. • Fill in as a Print Technician when needed for production work. Qualifications: • High School Education or equivalent working experience. Technical training/degree preferred. • Minimum 2 years of machine operation experience required. • Ability to understand and comply with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory requirements. • Knowledge of hand tools and their use. • Ability to read and understand metric and imperial measurements. • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to be organized and efficient. • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Work Environment • Monday - Thursday (occasional OT required) • 4pm - 2:30am • Manufacturing environment with potential exposure to machinery, heat, and industrial materials. • Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs., squatting, bending, and working overhead. You will collaborate with a team to take assembled and staged barrels, placing them on a prepped fire to soften the wood. Responsibilities • Follow all applicable safety rules and procedures. • Receive incoming finished barrels and place them into inventory. • Organize and maintain the warehouse for effective and efficient utilization of available storage space. • Ensure all products can be quickly retrieved for shipment. • Pull ordered material from inventory and stage it for pickups and deliveries. • Maintain all products in a quality and marketable condition. • Keep accurate inventory records. • Physically sort through various products to remove defective material.
