We have an immediate opening for CNC Lathe or Mill Machinists for a 2nd shift opening in Oakland, CA. These are long term, full time positions. We are seeking candidates that are familiar with CNC Lathes and have the ability measure precision parts. There is some flexibility on the evening shift hours. CNC Designer & Operator

You are a creative product designer who can take ideas through product design, 3D modeling, Shop Drawings and CAD to CAM on a CNC router. You think like an engineer and can work efficiently with strong attention to detail. Prior experience designing products, as well as programming, operating, and maintaining a CNC router is essential. Our company sets itself apart by researching and bringing to life the design narrative, history, and community of each project. We collaborate with a global network of artists to source new talent and create bespoke art from concept to installation. Our curated collections and architectural installations can be found in commercial properties nationwide. From ideation to bespoke art fabrication, we handle all aspects in-house, managing and installing artworks in various venues around the world. Duties and Responsibilities - Create 3D models to be fabricated - Create Shop Drawings for clients, vendors and in-house Fabricators - Program and operate CNC router - Prototype product based on shop drawings and input from the creative team - Produce final, finished products ready for market - Provide feedback on materials and fabrication techniques to the creative team - Maintain equipment as needed Qualifications - A passion for art and design with a keen eye toward aesthetics - 2+ years working experience with CAM software and CNC routers required - Experience with AutoDesk Fusion 360, AutoCAD and Aspire required - Experience with general wood shop equipment and tools required - Cabinet shop or other production experience is preferred - Art and sculpture background, education or experience a plus - Experience with general wood shop equipment and tools: table saw, chop saw, air tools, etc. - Able to communicate via working drawings, shop drawings, and sketches - Work quickly and accurately in a production environment - Able to work independently and under direction - Eye for detail and a sense for quality construction - Local Language values Creativity, Curiosity, Collaboration, and Grit.
