About the Role We are seeking a skilled Machinist with valve technician experience with at least 2 years of professional machining experience and proven abilities in valve repair and testing. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist who thrives in precision work and can also apply their expertise to the maintenance, overhaul, and testing of valves and hydraulic components. You will work with a variety of manual machines and specialized equipment, producing high-quality results that meet tight tolerances and safety standards. Key Responsibilities • Set up and operate manual machine tools, including: • * Lathes • Vertical & Horizontal Mills • Drill Presses • Key Seaters • Hydraulic Presses • Hydro Test Machines • Overhead Cranes • Additional specialty tools and shop equipment as needed. • Manufacture, modify, or repair parts to specifications from blueprints, technical drawings, or physical samples • Perform precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools • Apply valve technician skills to: • * Disassemble, repair, and reassemble valves and hydraulic components • Conduct hydrostatic and pressure testing • Troubleshoot and identify wear, defects, or damage • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including light maintenance of equipment • Follow all safety protocols, using PPE and tools properly at all times • Work independently on complex machining and repair projects while meeting deadlines Qualifications • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a machinist in a manufacturing, repair, or maintenance environment • High School Diploma or GED preferred • Ability to lift 50 pounds safely and unassisted • Strong manual machining skills with the ability to hold tight tolerances • Experience with valve repair, hydraulic component overhaul, and pressure testing • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings • Skilled in the use of precision measuring equipment • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities • Commitment to safety and adherence to company procedures • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision • CNC and VRC Certification are a plus Benefits: Sick and Vacation • Medical /Dental/Vision/Life • 401K with employer match • 10 Paid Holidays a year Lind Marine is drug-free workplace.
