CNC Machinist/Programmer

Seeking experienced CNC milling machine programmer and machinist. Must be proficient in programming, setting-up, machining, and inspecting complex parts. Must be proficient with MasterCam 3D Milling. Experience operating Haas machine tools is a must, experience with FADAL machining tools preferred. Candidates with experience in Aerospace or similarly regulated industries preferred. Applicants must be precise and confident in their abilities, self-motivated, work well with others, and be flexible with overtime as necessary. CNC Turning and manual machining experience is a preference. Looking for a long-term candidate interested in helping a well established company experiencing growth to expand. Machine Operator II

Summary: Berberian Nut Company is seeking a proactive and collaborative Processing Operator join our Walnut processing team. The Processing team maintains and operates equipment at maximum efficiency with a focus on production throughput, schedule adherence and quality standards in areas including electronics, inshell packing, sheller, meats packing, and Huller/Dryers. Responsibilities: • Monitor computer controls and equipment settings according to standardized operating instructions, as well as throughputs to ensure flow is optimal. • Maintain processing efficiencies by cleaning, calibrating and adjusting equipment. • Observe, adjust, and communicate information to maximize system operating efficiency reflected in the incoming and outgoing product stream visually and through Q.C. sampling feedback. • Record data and fill out data logs. • Properly use the inventory system and handheld scanners while monitoring/raking/replacing bins at all drop offs. • Operate forklift in compliance with all company safety protocols. • Cover for other operators when on breaks • Learn and understand SOPs, GMPs, HACCP, BRC, etc. • Assist department in examining and addressing any food safety concerns immediately to management. • Ensure appropriate standards of housekeeping and hygiene are maintained and in compliance with BRC in stewardship area. • Report the concerns and issues to Processing Supervisor or Processing Unit Manager. • Participate in continuous improvement activities, including Lean Manufacturing trainings. • Champion a world-class safety culture by attending all required trainings, support effective preventative maintenance programs, positive promotions, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and local policies. Qualifications: • Previous forklift experience helpful. Ability to obtain and upkeep forklift and aerial lift operator certifications. • Experience working in a nut or other processing setting preferred. Mechanical aptitude helpful. • Basic reading and math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. • Machine programming and computer competency. • Strong demonstrated interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills. • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. • Willing and able to work rotating shifts including day, swing, nights. Shift may include long hours, weekends, and holidays, per company needs. • Able to work long hours and overtime, in addition to shifts work, nights, weekends, and holidays, per business needs. • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which includes regularly lifting and moving up to 50lbs, as well as specific vision abilities.
