Machine Operator - T16 2nd Shift

The North America team is currently looking for a Machine Operator on 2nd shift to join our Taylorville, IL facility. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating extrusion equipment to produce plastic parts along with downline packaging. The Operator must follow detailed instructions to ensure the accuracy of each product. They must inspect parts for any defects or inconsistencies and make adjustments as needed. The Operator must also monitor the machines to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently. They must have a good understanding of the equipment and be able to troubleshoot any issues that arise. The Operator must be able to read and understand technical documents, follow safety guidelines, and maintain accurate records of production. Your Impact • Set-up, adjust, program, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on extrusion equipment. • Produce material to specification, from job order and document production data at a level of output that minimizes production delays. • Utilize quality checks to ensure all systems are set for correct operational sequencing and to meet product standards. • Implement all aspects of Grain & Protein Technologies Lean and Quality Management systems. • Comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures. Your Experience and Qualifications • High school diploma or GED equivalent. • Previous machine operator experience preferred, plastic extrusion equipment highly preferred. • Ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, pipe diameter tape, tape measure, go/no-go gauges), bander, Sawzall and other hand tools. • Ability to read blueprints. • Ability to read, write and use basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). • Ability to operate overhead crane and sit-down forklift. • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds. • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions. • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers and across departments and shifts. Machine Operator T8 2nd Shift

The North America team is currently looking for a Machine Operator on 2 nd shift to join our Taylorville, IL facility. The Machine Operator operates various fabrication machines and fabricates material to specification, from job orders and document production data. The Operator must follow detailed instructions to ensure the accuracy of each product. They must inspect parts for any defects or inconsistencies and adjust as needed. Blending Machine Operator

Responsible for operating and monitoring all processing equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Operation of equipment to include; prep, clean, operate, as well as performing minor repairs. Disassembles and assembles packaging machine(s) Fills, seals and labels boxes according to the batch sheets. 3. Extrusion Operates assigned extruder machine(s) in compliance with established Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and Safety requirements. Properly label, fill and tape closed boxes Assist operator with assigned tasks during production. 4. Scaling Able to distinguish material and lot numbers. Able to identify allergenic material and labeling of this material. Properly weigh minor ingredients according to the batch sheet. 5. Tableting Operates assigned extruder machine(s) in compliance with established Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and Safety requirements. Properly label, fill and tape closed finished material boxes Assist room operator with assigned tasks during production. Supervisory Responsibilities (If relevant) - N/A Performance Indicators Regular attendance Follow company safety procedures. Ensuring the proper Personal Protective Equipment is worn in all required areas. Consistently maintain a sanitary work environment. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Successful completion of the Manufacturing Operator I Assessment Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins and fine chemicals in powder and liquid form as well as allergen products. Ability to follow direction and work with Standard Operating Procedures. Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime and weekends on short notice Possess the ability to read and understand the information on the batch sheet. Working knowledge of all aspects of production including documentation, weigh room and batch sheet system. Language, Computer & Numeracy: Clear command of the English language both verbal and in writing Basic computer skills to include MS Excel, Word and SAP Travel Requirements N/A Typical Physical Activity Regularly involves standing, talking or listening, and the use of hands and fingers.
