CNC Specialist - 2nd Shift - Now Hiring

Summary: Align Precision in Arundel, Maine is seeking a highly motivated team members for our CNC Team. • This is a full-time position from 4:30pm - 2:30am Monday - Thursday (2nd Shift) • Full Benefits (Medical, Dental & Vision) start on day ONE • Available 401K with employer match contribution • Weekly Pay • An array of additional coverage available (Accident, short-term & long-term disability etc.) • Full café onsite • Ability to work on high-tech, precision, state of the art machines and parts Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform Set Ups and operation of 3,4, & 5 Axis CNC Mills, turning centers, and multi-axis machines • Ability to use forethought and best machining practices to achieve optimal performance results within the allocated timeframe • Experience with tight tolerance aerospace / defense and semi-conductor NPI machining with the ability to hold tolerances of +/- .0002" • Must be able to maintain a 90% efficiency rate during set-up/operation, and scrap rate of less than 1% • Read and follow job router, set-up sheet and work instructions and provide feedback to improve process • Maintain positive attitude even during stressful situations • Measure and document as required inspection data to assure part compliance, utilizing mechanical methods, manual and automated CMMs. • Read and interpret blueprint dimensions, symbols, and notes • Organize, clean, and maintain work area • Communicate with Engineering on issues, needs, and improvements • Build Fixtures to drawing requirements • Setup, Prove-out and optimize process to minimize cycle-time and increase probability of success while communicating and working with other departments i.e.) Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Deburring/Finishing • Train Machine Operators if/when job is turned over to production. • Ability to work independently and identify issues, and problem solve in a productive timeframe • Maintains focus on process improvement and reduction of cycle times while maintaining quality • Ability to work required schedule Competencies: • 10+ or more years setting up and operating CNC 3, 4, & 5 axis mills, turning centers and multi-axis machines • Attention to detail • Excellent knowledge of machine and controller functions • Excellent knowledge of machine tolerances • Commanding knowledge of GD&T and applications • Excellent mechanical skills • Advanced mathematical and geometrical knowledge • Good communicator, ability to listen, ask questions, and provide solutions • Ability to work extra hours when needed • Self-Motivated • Positive attitude • Strong Work Ethic • Familiarity with AS9100 Standards • High school diploma / GED Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required stand for long periods of time, walk and reach.
