SAMSON MANUFACTURING - PRIVATELY OWNED MANUFACTURER Job Description: Machinists – ALL SHIFTS Samson Manufacturing is looking for Machinists FOR ALL SHIFTS - 2nd & 3rd SHIFT DIFFERENCIALS AVAILABLE and is the premier manufacturer of firearms parts and accessories. Specializing primarily in the AR-15 market, Samson also has a diverse and accomplished product line including handguards, optics, and magnifier mounts, fixed and folding rifle sights and more. Samson utilizes state-of-the-art engineering and techniques to ensure that all our products not only exceed industry standards but set them. Samson Manufacturing utilizes CNC Turning Centers and HAAS milling machines in our “State of the Art” facility. Hours: 1st Shift – Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM 2nd Shift – Monday – Thursday 3:00 PM to 12:30AM (36 hours; paid for 40) 3rd Shift – Monday – Thursday 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM (32 hours; paid for 40) The machinist must have 1 year or more of machining experience preferably (not necessary) on HAAS Mills or CNC Turning Centers. The machine operator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to measuring parts with tolerances of +-.002, maintaining cycle efficiency, minimizing cycle reload time, changing cutting tools, performing periodical maintenance, deburring parts, checking quality of parts and responsible for some Bridgeport & manual lathe work as needed. Other duties may be required due to production demands. The “Machinist” will show good Mechanical aptitude and advanced machine shop knowledge of measuring tools and metal cutting equipment. Practice good shop safety procedures. Make good use of downtime. Also keep a neat and orderly work area. Machinist: Finish Lathe on 2nd Shift

Perform CNC Machining/Finish Turning operations to final dimensions as specified on engineering drawings. SPECIFIC DUTIES • Perform finish turning, drilling and tapping to final dimensions as specified on engineering drawings and standard procedures. • Set up lathe as required to perform individual finish operations. • Maintain all oil levels and lubricate machine daily; inform supervisor of any equipment defects. • Set correct feeds and speeds as required for drilling, turning and tapping of different types of material. • Refer to T.E.S. manual and shop procedure manual for specific details on press fit. • Transfer any heat number alpha codes to fit slip adjacent to identifying serial number. • Maintain and record time sheets for each operation performed. • Move completed work to proper holding area for disposition following Quality at the Source expectations. • Maintain neat and clean working area, including the removal and disposal of machined chips from machine base. • Wear and maintain proper safety equipment including proper footwear and safety glasses. • Assist in other areas of manufacturing as required. • Work in a safe manner at all times following established policies and procedures. • Work with co-workers as a team player.
