Job Title: Machining Operator The CNC Machining Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the production of high-quality components. This position involves operating various types of CNC machines, manual equipment, and secondary tools to meet inch and metric drawing specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards. The operator will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting machined components, identifying any discrepancies or errors, and taking corrective action as needed. Machine Operator - Conditioning 3rd Shift

Compensation Grade 1 3rd shift POSITION SUMMARY The Machine Operator is responsible for following standard operating procedures in the operation of power tools and production equipment to manufacture plate, sheet, and tubing products. The operator will improve surface condition of rolled products by sanding and/or grinding. Sets up and operates shears and leveling machines used in the production of tantalum and niobium products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Sands or grinds rolled materials to remove surface imperfections and meet product specifications including but not limited to Class 1 requirements • Sets up and operates leveling equipment • Sets up and operates shears to ensure final product meets the required dimensional specs • Sets up and operates cleaning equipment for all intermediate and finish products • Requires mechanical aptitude • Follows good safety practices, complies with PPE requirements and follows environmental policies • Must be able to understand specifications and use measuring instruments with assistance • Requires ability to recognize problems and seek assistance to resolve • Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly way and follows 5S standard work practices QUALIFICATIONS • High School of Vocational School Diploma and/or GED required. • 0-2 years of experience related production experience in a manufacturing environment. • Basic math skills are required to perform necessary job functions. • An understanding of basic measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers). • Good communication skills including the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with some machining experience is a plus. • May require the use of fork trucks, overhead cranes, hand carts and hand tools. Must be capable of obtaining a fork truck license and/or overhead crane license and must obtain a lockout/tagout certification The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
