Duties • Set up, operate, and monitor various manufacturing machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses to produce parts according to specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to ensure accurate fabrication. • Program CNC equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance. • Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure quality control throughout the production process. • Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling equipment; perform warehouse organization and materials movement as needed. • Conduct routine inspections of machinery for maintenance needs; troubleshoot mechanical issues using mechanical knowledge and factory experience. • Operate fabrication tools such as welding equipment and tooling machines; assist with assembly line tasks when required. • Maintain detailed records of production activities, quality checks, and shift reports to ensure traceability and accountability. • Follow safety protocols diligently to uphold a safe factory environment; participate in safety meetings and training sessions regularly. • Support packaging and shipping processes by preparing finished goods for delivery while ensuring adherence to quality standards. Skills • Proficiency in operating CNC programming tools including Fanuc controllers and CAM software. • Experience with various manufacturing equipment such as stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, welding tools, and flexo presses. • Ability to read blueprints accurately; familiarity with GD&T principles for precise measurements. • Mechanical aptitude combined with factory experience in manufacturing environments. • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers for quality assurance. • Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting machine issues. • Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory. • Experience with materials handling, fabrication processes including welding and tooling setup. • Familiarity with quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications consistently. • Comfortable working on assembly lines within fast-paced manufacturing facilities; warehouse experience is advantageous.
