CNC Operator - 1st Shift

Job Full DescriptionJob Summary: Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced CNC Machine Operator for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a respected manufacturing client. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to ensure optimal performance, quality output, and adherence to production standards. Key Responsibilities: Operate CNC machine tools according to detailed instructions and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and other documentation to ensure accurate setup and production. Select and secure tools, fixtures, and materials required for each job. Monitor machine performance to ensure high-quality and efficient operation. Inspect and verify measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers are calibrated and functioning. Adjust machine controls to maintain product quality and efficiency. Run multiple machines simultaneously, where required. Perform all other duties as assigned to support production goals. Required Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of machine mechanics and CNC operations. Ability to run multiple machines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documents. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Knowledge of and compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Capable of working independently and completing tasks with minimal supervision. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical or vocational school training in machine operation preferred. 2-5 years of experience operating CNC machinery required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in a noisy manufacturing environment. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to operate and maintain machinery. Must be able to move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced production setting. CNC Programmer

Delaware Dynamics is a producer of components in the aerospace and automotive industries. We have been in business for over 75 years on our campus in Muncie, Indiana where we just opened our 10th building in 2020, adding manufacturing space, for new machines including new 5-axis CNC and large-scale 3D imagining printers that will allow us to print with a wider variety of metal products. We continuously reinvest in upgrading high-speed machinery with improved technology to increase accuracy while reducing set-up and machine run-times. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to program (using Tebis) and operate 3, 4 and 5-axis machines to manufacture parts, complete set-up and alignment of parts on machines, and communicate with the Engineering Department and co-workers regarding job status and schedules. Our machinists produce high quality parts in Titanium, Aluminum and Steel within extremely tight tolerances and must be able to determine the optimal methods, tooling, speeds, and feeds to machine parts in the most efficient manner possible, while keeping an organized approach to machining details correctly and completely. Over the past few years we have added some of the latest machinery including multiple 5-axis machines manufactured by DMG and Fidia. Position Requirement: • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating and programming 3, 4 and 5-axis machines • Machine Trades background at a high school Career Center, two-year college in Machine Trades curriculum a plus. • Programming experience with Tebis.
