CNC Machinist / Programmer

Experienced 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC Machinist/Programmer Delaware Dynamics is a producer of components in the Aerospace and Automotive industries. We have been in business for over 75 years on our campus just outside Indianapolis, IN where we just opened our 10th building in 2020, adding an additional 30,000 sq. ft. to our existing 210,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space for new machines used in 5-axis CNC milling as well as large-scale 3D printing of metals such as Stainless Steel, Titanium, Maraging Steel, H-13 Steel and Aluminum. We continuously reinvest in the business, upgrading high-speed machinery with improved technology to increase accuracy while reducing set-up and machine run-times. Delaware Dynamics is currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to program and operate 3, 4 and 5-axis machines to manufacture parts, complete set-up and alignment of parts on machines, and communicate with the Engineering Department and other co-workers regarding job status and schedules. Our machinists produce high quality parts in Titanium, Aluminum and Steel within extremely tight tolerances and must be able to determine the optimal methods, tooling, speeds, and feeds to machine parts in the most efficient manner possible, while keeping an organized approach to machining details correctly and completely. Over the past few years, we have added some of the latest machinery including multiple 5-axis machines manufactured by DMG, Makino and Fidia. Skills/Knowledge: Successful candidates have good math skills including Trigonometry, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, the ability to operate and program CNC machines using WorkNC or similar programming software, they are safety conscious and able to communicate and work effectively with others. Position Requirements:  Minimum of 4 years of experience operating and programming 3, 4 and 5-axis machines  Machine Trades background at a high school Career Center, two-year college in Machine Trades curriculum a plus.  Programming experience with WorkNC preferred. Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to operate and maintain machinery. Must be able to move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.
