CNC Milling Machinist - 2nd Shift - Full-time

Position type: Hourly • Operates CNC milling machinery including set-up and program editing with ability to produce advanced routine/non-routine parts and components. • Perform machining operations on a variety of CNC machine tools including shop floor programming and using such procedures as multiple setups, in place machining of fixtures. • Studies work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). • Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures and cutting tools using hand tools and tool length off-set equipment. • 5 to 7 years’ machining experience in a manufacturing production environment. • Advanced knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures involving CNC machines including editing computer-aided software and their applications. • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques. • High level proficiency in reading and interpreting machining and fabrication drawings. • Solid math, geometry and trigonometry skills and understanding GD&T. • Strong attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
