Job Responsibilities: • Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills). • Read and interpret blueprints, process and/or work instructions, sketches, and related technical data. • Select, load, test, and modify programs; make necessary machine feed, speed, and axis point adjustments. • Install tools and fixtures, make machine control settings, check required specifications, and run jobs. • Monitor machine operation, check parts throughout the run, and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality. • Respond to alarms, retrace programs to locate problems, and make necessary corrections. • Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators) to attain accurate dimensions and maintain tolerances. • Work with most machine shop equipment and apply machine shop math. • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, reporting unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources. • Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals, contributing to a positive team spirit. • Communicate effectively with subordinates and management at all levels. • Maintain the highest level of honesty and integrity. • Be willing to work extended hours during peak seasons (Spring/Fall), including both day and night shifts.
