Responsibilities include the set up and operation of CNC machines, produce parts to design specifications. Cooperatively work with other machinists and management to understand and maintain scheduled work flow and productivity.the design and optimization of biotech product solutions for OEM instrumentation needs. Education requirements include an AA or AS on Machine Tool Technology preferred, in addition of Experience in Machining. Essential Job Functions • Configure, set up and run manual and CNC machining centers and cutting tools (including tool offsets) to produce products as designed and illustrated on engineering technical drawings. • Use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment such as dial calipers, micrometers, pin and thread gauges, Smart Scope and Profile Projector to monitor and ensure quality of production parts for conformance to specifications. • Perform and record routine self-inspections of first articles and work-in-process in accordance with established quality procedures. • Analyzes designs for appropriate tolerances and design for manufacture. • Ensures release to manufacturing documentation is reviewed, accurate, complete, and contains clear and comprehensive assembly and test instructions. • Investigates and remains current on new technology to generate new product ideas. • Communicates clearly and effectively with internal and external functional teams – orally, in written form, and via presentations.
