IH&S Oak Harbor Production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment for their team. The supervisor is responsible for daily activities related to the support, production, and problem solving for their respective areas. Key Inputs to Role • Production and business needs and objectives • Team feedback and input • Planning and scheduling • Daily performance metrics Essential Job Functions • Provide support to all direct reports • Ensure team is meeting / exceeding their safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals • Conduct routine 1:1 meetings, provide career coaching, and frequent feedback on performance and behavior • Adhere to all company policies • Interview and train new hires • Facilitate Daily Management each day -- use DM to drive team engagement and improvements • Identify obstacles and inefficiencies and propose ideas / solutions to resolve • Evaluate skills, training gaps, and business needs to focus training efforts • Provide team daily staffing assignments and guidance on daily work / priorities • Respond to safety concerns and proactively work to resolve potential safety issues • Support production team during the entirety of their shift • Implement visual management for scheduling and work cell stability • Own learning ladder program for department and keep associated documents updated • Encourage and promote teamwork, participation, and collaboration • Ensure weekly cycle counts are being performed • Investigate and resolve work order issues, material variances, quality issues, and inventory issues • Able to de-escalate conflict and remain objective and direct when dealing with disciplinary actions • Ensures building is secure during the shift and at the end of the shift (when no shift immediately following)/Verifies there is no one left on the premises prior to departure from site at end of shift Skills/Aptitudes • Sound organization • Excellent communication skills in writing and in person • Proactive approach to safety • Solid understanding of production planning / flight schedules, JDE • Excellent attention to detail and pride in work product • Excellent time management skills • Adaptability • Strong decision-making capabilities • Servant Leadership • Effective interpersonal skills • Approachability and empathy Qualifications • Demonstrated success in manufacturing environment with three (2-5) years of increasing responsibility and leadership experience • Minimum High School diploma • *Working Conditions** • Manufacturing environment. • Possible overtime. • *Physical / Mental Capabilities** • Capable of focusing on details with regard to products and problems over extended period of time ```{=html} ``` • Visual acuity for reading computer screen and handwritten/typewritten documents • Speaking and hearing ability for telephone and in-person communications • Capable of mobility and travel • Able to travel via automobile, airplane, trains, or buses • Maintain composure and professional approach when dealing others • Ability to make decisions logically IH&S Fluidics offers a dynamic and challenging work environment and a competitive compensations/benefits package.&
