CNC Machinist/Operator

Mega Machine Shop Inc. is a 22,000 square foot, full-service machining and fabrication facility. Our capabilities range from equipment repair, CNC Turning, to 5-axis Milling; Prototype to Production. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Read blue prints, engineering drawings, specifications, and interpret GD&T. • Use micrometers, calipers, bore gages, height gage and a manual CMM. • Able to use basic math, geometry and trigonometry. • Set up machines by installing pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures. • Maintains specifications by taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. • Operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift. • Edit G code and M code programs. • Operate 3, 4, & 5 axis vertical and horizontal CNC Mills with Mazatrol and Fanuc controls. • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. • Maintain equipment using preventative maintenance. • Maintain an organized and clean work environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Required to lift up to 50 lbs. • Moderate walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work around moving objects, and with machinery with moving parts. In deburr this person will be responsible for processing parts utilizing hand and air tools to blend surfaces, remove burrs and prepare parts for final finishing processes. This position also requires inspecting parts to make sure they meet our Quality Standards. Employee will be required to operated additional equipment to include burr benches and abrasive blast cabinets. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Machinist’s Mates (MM) are responsible for operating and maintaining ship propulsion machinery, auxiliary equipment and outside machinery.
