Their duties include studying blueprints and creating the design, cutting metal and manipulating it to build the project, and performing regular maintenance on their machinery. Key Responsibilities: Loading and unloading raw materials and parts into CNC machine Adjusting offsetting Haas, Mori Seiki, CNC lathes and mills Examine complete workpieces for defects. Measure complete workpieces to verify conformance. Using gauges and measuring devices Reading blueprints;familiar with G codes Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and dust particles. Maintain a clean work area. Minimum Requirements: 6+ months of CNC Operation in a manufacturing setting is preferred, but not required;will accept 6+ months experience with fabrication & or operating machines and equipment in a manufacturing setting. Effective communication skills. Train fast and easy with the ability to be able to operate on your own with minimal assistance within your probation period. CNC Setup Machinist Bellingham WA Hourly FT | Temp to Hire Permanent ONLY Schedules shifts Vary Job Summary: We are looking for experienced CNC Setup Machinists who have experience setting up machines for different projects, know how to choose correct controls, material, and cutting tools for specific projects, and choosing the right machine for the project at hand. A successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of machining processes, be able to read and interpret blueprints, and have the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. We are looking for a motivated individual who is committed to producing quality work in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities: Set-Up parts for multiple mills and lathes such as Hass and Mori Seiki Toyoda, Nakamura Mount install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines. First Article Inspection and monitor quality of parts while in-process. Monitor quality of parts while in process Adjusting and monitoring offsets Solve machine-related problems. Assist operators with adjustments and tool changes. Make process improvements and update create necessary documentation. Maintain a clean work area. Minimum Requirements: Ability to independently setup, troubleshoot, and run tight tolerance parts in difficult to machine materials. Be able to show how many years of experience you have performing independent set-ups on 3, 4, or 5 axis CNC machines Be able to tell us what CNC machines have you performed set-ups on Ability to use and properly care for all inspection equipment. Ability to navigate machine controls and address errors. Expert knowledge of blueprint reading including GD&T.
