Position Summary: Operate the necessary machinery required to produce a point of sale from raw materials. The ability to operate machinery in a safe and efficient way to produce high volume quality products. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Operate machinery to support optimal and effective production of product. Communicate and coordinate with line processing personnel to ensure quality of finished product. Meet production standards and goals. Communicate and coordinate with maintenance to maximize production uptime. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow all documented and accepted company, plant and department policies and procedures with special attention to safety practices. Maintain regular attendance. Maintain a positive attitude in the workplace. Excellent visual acuity and quality discrimination abilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 65 pounds. Computer literacy High standards in your work habits. Ability to troubleshoot extensively. Inspect finished goods for quality, accuracy, conformance to specifications and external defects. Adjust machines to improve quality and output. Set/adjust speed, positions and pressure tolerances of equipment. Write production reports and setup the slitter/re-winders. Examine job orders to determine details such as quantities to be produced, production time, stock specifications and raw material specifications. Machine setup to product specifications. Monitor machine functioning and machine processes to maintain specified operating levels. Detect malfunctions and make adjustments as necessary. Basic Qualifications: Knowledge in use of basic hand tools. General knowledge of machinery processes.
