Express Employment is looking for a CNC machinist to start work in Meridian, MS! • $15/hr • Day Shift • Long Term/Full Time • Weekly Pay Responsibilities: • Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling. • Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production. • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company. • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results. • Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality. • Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs. • Provide timelines to clients. • Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part. • Ensure that the results of the machining process align with client expectations. • Conduct regular CNC machine assessments. • CNC Lathe and Mill Experience • Reading of Precision and Non-Precision Measuring Tools • Some Basic Understanding of Blueprints • Basic Mathematic Skills • Identifying and Understanding the Uses of Machining Tools • Organizational and Time Management skills Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required. • A certificate or diploma in engineering is an advantage. • 1 year of experience as a CNC machine operator. • Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings. • Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude. • Strong comprehension and analytical abilities. • Good computer and mathematical skills. The ability to operate machinery in a safe and efficient way to produce high volume quality products. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Operate machinery to support optimal and effective production of product. Communicate and coordinate with line processing personnel to ensure quality of finished product. Meet production standards and goals. Communicate and coordinate with maintenance to maximize production uptime. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Basic Qualifications: Knowledge in use of basic hand tools. General knowledge of machinery processes.
