Job Title: Machine Operator 1 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Operations Reports to: Assistant Manager, Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE: Machine Operator 1 (MO1) is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing company railway maintenance and inspection equipment. This position can operate Loram’s on track MOW equipment and/or on track vehicles with supervision in both operating and travel modes. In this role you may be assigned to various types of equipment platforms dependent on business needs and demands. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Safety Focused • Ability to lead a comprehensive and appropriate job briefing during operations shifts, maintenance shifts, and while conducting maintenance tasks. • Consistently follows safe work processes, procedures and rules • Understands on track safety and can explain specifics when asked • Able to locate all emergency equipment and demonstrate correct operation Machine Operations and Technical Knowledge • Conducts machine inspections to identify problems, defects, changes, and hazards and communicates conditions to the operator or supervisor and performs common repairs as instructed. Provides accurate feedback that allows machine leadership to make maintenance decisions • Accurately records and reports common parts used to supervisor, including floor stock • Performs maintenance and repairs according to set schedules and policies • Accurately describes gauge and HMI functions as they relate to machine operation • Demonstrates the ability to document and complete daily field reporting, personal expense reporting, field lodging, and other administrative reporting as necessary BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES: • Safety Awareness • Values Based • Learning on the Fly • Action Oriented • Listening • Personal Learning REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Internal Candidates: 3+ Months Experience working with Loram equipment or equivalent in a 24/7 environment; Some assignments require Excavator experience. Meet all relevant or applicable pre-qualifications as noted in the general description for this role and Loram’s career development matrix. External Candidates: 2+ Years Demonstrated technical skills such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and machine operations. 2+ Years Demonstrated ability to learn communicate verbally and in writing and learn best practices Licenses/Certifications: Maintain Railroad Certifications, CPR/First Aid, valid Driver’s License Slots – 1+ year experience Heavy equipment operator (Backhoe, Excavator, or alike). Heavy Maintenance/ Construction equipment maintenance. Basic administration computer skills. Working knowledge of data systems and remote equipment operations cellar or tethered. Aurora - Minimum of 1 year computer or technology background. 1 year of working knowledge working with MS Windows. Preferred radiation experience. Commercial Driver’s License or able to obtain a Class B. CNC Mill Machinist

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Machinist in a premier tank manufacturing facility. This role is vital to ensuring the resulting end product is made to exact specifications as designated by the engineers and meets all quality standards. Job Responsibilities: · Setting up jobs on a CNC Mill (Okuma) and making parts per drawing. · Read and comprehend Blueprint drawings · Safely operate CNC machines as well as a Manual lathe and mill · Follow a strict daily schedule of jobs that need completion · Complete assignments correctly and on time · Continually maintain a clean working environment · Use of a forklift to position parts and setup job area · May perform other duties such as using a punch, metal shears, drill press, band saws, and pipe threader. (Will train to use this equipment if needed) Minimum Requirements: · Ability to read and understand prints. · Ability to read and understand measuring devices. · Ability to work 40-48 hours a week and occasional Saturdays Physical Requirements: · Must be able to lift 60lbs. · Must be able to stand for long periods. · Lift parts in and out of CNC machines. In this role, you'll lead and support machining operators, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met. You'll be hands-on with machine setup, blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, and quality inspections (including CMM equipment) while helping train and guide others on the floor. Specific Responsibilities • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following plant safety policies and practicing 5S. • Set up and operate machines to run production at specified rates. • Complete and record TPM and quality checks to ensure consistent product quality. • Perform basic troubleshooting, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on production equipment. • Record production, quality, and productivity data accurately. • Run CMM reports and make machine adjustments as needed. • Use precision tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and gauges to measure and verify quality. • Read and interpret blueprints, control charts, and specifications; convert metric to inches when needed. • Train and support new associates on machining processes. • Apply basic root cause analysis when solving issues. • Work with engineers, inspectors, and maintenance teams to keep equipment and processes running effectively. • Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment while leading operators in your area. Requirements • High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience. • Successful completion of the Set-Up Training course. • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing or machine shop environment using precision measuring instruments. • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. The hourly pay range for this position is $23.50 to $26.80. The final offer will be based on several factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and work location.
