We are currently looking for a talented and experienced CNC Machinist to become a vital part of our team. Position Overview: As a CNC Machinist, you will utilize your specialized skills to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of large bed milling machines. Your work will contribute to the production of high-precision components in a high-tolerance environment, using advanced machining techniques and aerospace-grade materials. What We Are Looking For: • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operating CNC machines, with a strong preference for large bed CNC milling machines. • Proven mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, particularly with aerospace-grade metals and composites. • Expertise in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, with proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). • Familiarity with CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Haas) and experience with CAM software is an advantage. • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and basic machine diagnostics. • Ability to work independently while prioritizing tasks in a dynamic, quality-driven environment. Your Responsibilities Will Include: • Operating and maintaining large bed CNC milling machines to produce precision components as per strict specifications. • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD/CAM files to ensure machining accuracy. • Troubleshooting any machine malfunctions and inefficiencies to reduce downtime. • Conducting first-article inspections and regular quality checks using precision instruments. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve challenges related to complex geometries and specialized materials. • Assisting in the development and optimization of CNC programs (G-code or CAM), especially for multi-axis operations. • Adhering to aerospace manufacturing protocols and ensuring a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED; completion of a formal CNC program or trade school is preferred. • Additional certifications in precision machining or CNC programming (e.g., NIMS, HAAS certification) are valued. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand for extended periods (10+ hours per shift). • Capability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. • Frequent bending, stooping, and manual dexterity are required. • Visual acuity to read precision instruments and technical drawings. • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
