Shift: 2nd Shift (1:30 PM – 10:00 PM) Employment Type: Temporary Contract (assignment duration may vary) Pay Rate: $23.25 per hour Key Responsibilities • Set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual equipment, including multi-axis mills, lathes, routers, lasers, and traditional shop machines, to manufacture components for various applications. • Develop, edit, and execute machining programs using advanced CAD/CAM software; read and create G-code both at the machine and within programming interfaces. • Efficiently follow technical documents, specifications, blueprints, and work instructions to produce parts that meet strict quality standards, working commonly with materials such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel. • Accurately interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and plans, including geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), orthographic designs, and machining parameters. • Utilize ISO-compliant documentation and processes to determine critical dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations. • Apply precise measuring techniques and use quality inspection tools to verify production standards, including first article and statistical process control (SPC) checks. • Adjust work offsets, set tooling, and perform basic equipment inspections as part of daily responsibilities. • Initiate and closely monitor machine operations, detecting and correcting malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions. • Manually deburr finished workpieces to achieve required surface quality. • Collaborate with technical leads or supervisors to resolve manufacturing issues and continually improve production processes. • Program machines for new parts, establishing efficient sequences for operations and selecting the right tooling for each job. • Edit and manage technical files using specialized software such as Enroute and Gravostyle, and prepare clear instructions for setups. • Review and interpret CAD blueprints for guidance in both programming and machining. • Inspect and measure sheet metal parts prior to assembly, confirming components are free from defects and fit detailed diagrams. • Cut, trim, and finish parts for precise assembly, using hand and power tools as needed. • Follow engineering instructions during assembly, making necessary adjustments and replacing parts if required. • Assist in developing patterns or templates for streamlined manufacturing processes and effective assembly. • Perform accurate cutting, filing, drilling, and reaming of metal, plastic, or rubber sections according to design requirements. Qualifications • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. • Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional machining or fabrication shop. • At least 5 years of experience in aerospace or a comparably regulated technical field. • Advanced knowledge of CNC programming, machining, tooling setup, and interpreting technical documents. • Strong familiarity with CAD/CAM and manufacturing software systems.
