Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a CNC Machinist. The hourly rate for this position is $28.27 + $1.00 shift differential per hour. The hours for this role are 3:30pm - 12:00am Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: Eaton Aerospace Group is currently seeking CNC Machinists to join our 2nd shift team. This position is based in our Jackson, MS facility. The hourly rate for this position is $28.27 + $1.00 p/h shift differential per hour. The hours for this role are 3:30 pm - 12:00 am. Now offering a $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS. What you will do: Job Responsibilities: • The CNC Machinist will perform a combination of duties that include the following classification functions: Finishing Cell Machining, Forming Cell Machining, Product Support Technician, Sub-Assembly, Storekeeping, Material Handling, Cleaning & Snagging. In this function you will: • Rotate through each lean cell function and rotation through other lean cells. • Perform visual and physical inspection of parts using functional measuring equipment. • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) know how to detect an out-of-control condition as well as other problem-solving methodologies to ensure quality of product. • Interpret and work from complex drawings, blueprints, and specifications. • Set up and operate distinct types of machines and finishing equipment (lathes, mills, drills; CNC & Manual, grinders, CNC grinders, laps, hones) without assistance and maintain proper tolerances. • Be responsible for returning all tools to their proper location at the end of the shift and cleaning work area. • Perform sub-assembly operations such as, installation of pins, plugs, inserts, bearings, miscellaneous components, etc. • When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we as individuals and as a company, are stronger. Qualifications: Education level required: • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution Years and area of experience required: • One of the following is also required: Machining certificate or Associate's degree in a technical field, or a minimum of two (2) years of experience in machining. • CNC experience with lathes, mills, grinders, manual hone, or lap.
