Job Description Job Title : CNC Swiss-Lathe Setup Machinist - Afternoon Shift Department : Operations Reports to: CNC Turning Manager Schedule: 3:30pm – 11:30pm, Monday - Friday Company : Mount Mfg is an orthopedic contract manufacturing company located in Marquette, MI. The company operates with a quality system that is ISO 13485:2016 certified and FDA registered. Job Responsibilities : • Setup, trouble-shoot and operate CNC Swiss Lathes (sliding headstock) including tooling installation, offsets, work-holding, coolant lines (high and low pressure), and understand and perform all conventional methods of swiss machining • Perform minor program adjustments as needed when approved by manager (i.e. deburring passes, order of operation, speed & feed adjustments, etc) • Perform and document in-process inspection utilizing good documentation practices • Assist co-workers in the troubleshooting of CNC machining issues • Ability to read and interpret prints and GD&T per ASME Y14.5 • Attend Pre-production Meetings as needed • Must have social skills to adequately operate in a team environment and maintain a positive company culture • Act as a leader and mentor to new operators learning CNC machining • Other duties as assigned Experience/Education : High School Diploma, and 5+ years experience in a relevant manufacturing environment with minimum 2 years of swiss-lathe setup experience Experience with 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485:2016 preferred but not required Knowledge of common manufacturing processes such as CNC milling, CNC turning, blast finishing, laser marking, cleaning, passivation, anodization, heat treatment, forming, etc. preferred but not required. Travel Requirements : Minimal.
