CNC Machinist

Experienced CNC Machinist who will program and set up 3, 4, 5 Axis Machine Centers using Mastercam X programming system to manufacture aircraft structural parts. There are opportunities available for first and second shifts. First shift = Mon-Thurs 7am-4:30pm, Fri 7am-3:30pm Second shift = Mon-Thurs 4:15 pm-3:45 am, both shifts are a 44 hour week, paid at 40 hours regular and 4 hours overtime each week. Responsibilities • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, material, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters. • Interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards. • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different request, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Qualifications • CNC programming experience. • Knowledge of MasterCAM X programming software. • Experience using Fanuc Controls. • Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Functional and Technical Skills. • Controls and Instrumentation. Job Summary Produce fabricated machine parts having a complex nature of geometry using blueprints. Examples are compound angles, compound radii blends and close tolerances (.005 m/m) using machine tools such as mills, lathes, grinders, CNC controls and EDMs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Fabricate complex level machine replacement parts. Example would be from raw material to ready for shipment. This would be accomplished with blueprint and little or no instruction. • Inspect physical and metallurgical properties of parts in process using the complete range of equipment: micrometers, microscopes, hardness testers, sine plates and contour tracers • Instruct entry and mid-level machinists in proper manufacturing processes • Assist Design Engineers on new manufacturing processes regarding engineering concepts • Write CNC programs both manually and computer assisted • Performs any other duties assigned by management Qualifications and Requirements • High School Diploma/GED (minimum) • A high degree of skill in math and some knowledge of CAD is required • Must know how to use machine tools such as mills, lathes, grinders, CNC controls and EDMs • Technical School or military equivalent plus 5 years industrial experience required Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. CNC Operator - Entry Level

Set up and operates machine tools such as mills, lathes and CNC machine centers. Responsibilities • Knowledge of machining methods such as reading blueprints or operation sheets for product specifications, dimensions, tolerances and machine instructions. • Under direction, selects positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table chuck, centers or fixtures using clamps and wrenches. • Will performs machine functions such as set up tool gage lengths, indicating fixture offsets and any other operations required prior to the "edit" operations. • Operation of machine and verifies conformance of main work piece to specifications using measuring instruments such as fixed gages, calipers and micrometer. • Performs deburring and polishing of product, as necessary, after removing product and/or work piece off the machine. • Also, shop, tools, parts, and machine clean up are an important part of your duties.
