Responsibilities • Fabricate and shape parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal • Machine set-up and troubleshooting experience • Confer with engineers, production supervisor, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems • Maintain daily machine and equipment cleanliness along with appropriate preventative maintenance standards • Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion • Work in a team environment to meet production goals • Select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials into machines • Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures and tooling • Evaluate, change, or modify to setup jobs • Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions • Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor Requirements • High School Diploma or GED • 2+ years of machinist experience preferred • CNC, wire EDM, and CAD knowledge preferred • Proficient in operation of all types of manual machine shop equipment (lathes, mills, drill press, etc.) • Vast knowledge of reading and making parts from prints and be able to use all measuring tools and instruments • Have proven mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills • Must have a high level of confidence in machining ability • Have great communication skills • Utilize and abide by the ISO requirements and safety procedures • Have a positive attitude towards co-workers • Be able to bend, reach, stoop, and have general agility • Have a clean criminal record and clean drug screen • Be able to manage time and priorities well • Work well with others and individually • Have a strong attention to detail • Ability to lift and move 50 pounds Location: Fitzgerald, Georgia Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour Schedule: 12 hour rotating shifts New Hire Solutions is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace. Responsibilities MACHINE OPERATOR II Position Summary: Golden Boy Foods, a member of the 8th Avenue Food and Provisions Family, is a leading Manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of private label food products. We supply peanut butter to leading grocery retailers, top food service distributors, and industrial bakeries across North America. Our Fitzgerald, GA location has an opening for Operator II. The position will be filled by candidates who can consistently maintain a good attendance record and meet production standards while working on manufacturing equipment within a Food Manufacturing facility. A focus on health and safety and food safety are key. Duties And Responsibilities: • Before startup - checks equipment and work area to ensure safety and sanitation conditions are ready for use. • Assembles and disassembles equipment for sanitation purposes. • Set up and adjust Equipment for production runs. • Based on line speed, adjusts equipment to meet specifications, and periodically checks product to ensure specifications are met. • Perform all quality checks assigned to each position on the production line. • Coordinates with other departments when needed to ensure the flow of the packaging materials and raw materials meet line needs. • Maintains and properly rotates inventory for proper FIFO. • Maintains records and compiles reports as required for production and quality. • Assists with and performs changeovers and /or adjustments on machines within area of responsibility. • Read and interpret packaging specifications, schedules, pallet configurations, code date formats, and all customer specifications. • Other duties, as assigned Education and Experience Required: • Must be capable of reading and writing • Must be capable of performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division • Must have the ability to complete simple oral and written communication • Must be able to work shifts, overtime, and weekends when required. Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills: • 1+ Years in Food Manufacturing • High School Diploma or GED Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds • Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment • Must be able to bend and crawl for 7+ hours per shift • Must be able to climb ladders and/or stairs for 4+ hours per shift • Must be able to stand for 6+ hours per shift • Must be able to walk for 6+ hours per shift • Must be able to reach and grasp up to 6 hours per shift
